WILL STINKY CUT THE BIG ONE?
Frat Times at the White House
By Sheila Samples
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
~~McBeth, Act V, Scene V
It's almost painful to watch the disintegration of George W. Bush and what's left of his murderous administration. Those who haven't fled are racing blindly through the halls of power, lurching into one another in a desperate attempt to distance themselves from Bush and to escape reaping what they have sown.
Even cutting a bit of slack, it's still inconceivable that any thinking person could spend more than five minutes in the presence of Bush without the shock of recognizing what a total idiot this country has as its president. Other than breaking stuff, killing anything in his path, refusing to admit mistakes, and making an obscene mess of anything he touches, apparently the only thing Bush can do with any success is break wind --pass gas -- fart.
First Fart Boy
In his Aug. 20 U.S. New & World Report "Washington Whispers" under the heading "Animal House in the West Wing," Paul Bedard wrote that Bush not only loves to cuss, but "... the first frat boy lovesflatulence jokes...can't get enough of fart jokes. He's also known to cut a few for laughs, especially when greeting new young aides..."
Bedard also told the Boston Herald's Margery Eagan that he’s heard about Bush’s full-salute “Austin Greeting” when new aides arrive. "He likes to gas a couple, and then bring the aide in and see what the kid’s face looks like.” Eagan, who admitted she was grossed out, commented, "Naturally, the aide can’t accuse the President or grimace or hold his nose. This dilemma apparently drives the presidential funny bone wild."
Most of us stopped laughing at Bush's coarse antics long ago. The boastful sound and fury of hot air blasting from both ends of this crude, immature thug as he rips one windy flatulent speech after another while saying absolutely nothing is not only vulgar, but is indescribably evil. The stench of Bush's lies mingles with, and hovers over the growing mounds of mangled and broken bodies of innocent men, women and children in Iraq and Afghanistan -- swirls around coffins laden with American service members sneaked back in-country with no fanfare.
The Big One
Bush reminds us often that he's The Decider. Nobody has the right to question his decisions ~ not even him ~ because history has called him to action, and he is delivering God's gift of freedom to every individual on earth whether they want it or not.
Who can forget the profound deliberation that preceeded Bush's decision to invade Iraq? On 9-11, he announced, "I don't care what the international lawyers say, we are going to kick some ass." And, in March 2002, a full year before invading Iraq, his decision was, "Fuck Saddam. We're taking him out!"
When asked during a press conference last week if he questioned hisown decisions, Bush replied confidently, "No, I haven't questioned whether or not it was right to take Saddam Hussein out, nor have I questioned the necessity for the American people -- I mean, I've questioned it; I've come to the conclusion it's the right decision. But I also know it's the right decision for America to stay engaged, and to take the lead, and to deal with these radicals and extremists, and to help support young democracies. It's the calling of our time .... And I firmly believe it is necessary."
We're losing in Iraq, but Bush says that doesn't bother him -- it just means we're going to win if we expand the armed forces, put more and more troops on the streets of Baghdad, and stay the course.
Bush is a brutal, pathological liar -- arguably a homicidal maniac. After losing two wars against helpless, unarmed nations, he's bored. The Decider is moving on to greater things, and those who know how to listen to him know the decision to nuke Iran has already been made.
Before he leaves office, Bush plans to spread the same freedoms throughout Iran that Iraq is presently enjoying, only this time he has decided to attack a huge, oil-rich, armed-to-the-teeth nation which has the capacity not only to defend itself, but to wreak death and destruction upon its attackers.
Will Stinky cut the big one on his way out? Or is he just whistling past
the graveyard -- yodeling past the skull orchard -- as he goes
mano-a-mano with Poppy?

AP Poll: Bush Both a Villain & Hero
President Bush & Britney Spears Top Bad List
By DARLENE SUPERVILLE
The Associated Press
WASHINGTON - Bad guy of 2006: President Bush. Good guy of 2006: President Bush. When people were asked in an AP-AOL News poll to name the villains and heroes of the year, Bush topped both lists, in a sign of these polarized times.
Among entertainment celebrities, Oprah Winfrey edged out Michael J. Fox as the best celebrity role model while Britney Spears outdistanced Paris Hilton as the worst.
Bush won the villain sweepstakes by a landslide, with one in four respondents putting him at the top of that bad-guy list. When people were asked to name the candidate for villain that first came to mind, Bush far outdistanced even Osama bin Laden, the terrorist leader in hiding; and former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who is scheduled for execution.
The president was picked as hero of the year by a much smaller margin. In the poll, 13 percent named him as their favorite while 6 percent cited the troops in Iraq.
On the question of celebrity role models, a pop singer's bad behavior claimed worst honors.
When asked to choose from a list of names, nearly three in 10 adults, or 29 percent, bestowed the honor of worst celebrity of the year on Spears.
The 25-year-old pop singer and mother of two young sons recently filed for divorce from Kevin Federline, her husband of two years. She then followed with highly publicized nights out with party girls Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, including photographic evidence of Spears wearing no underpants, which raised questions about her fitness as a parent.
Spears apologized on her Web site, saying she probably went "a little too far" with her newfound freedom.
Second-worst celebrity billing went to Hilton, 18 percent. The 25-year-old celebutante was arrested for drunken driving in Los Angeles in September while, she has said, she was on a late-night hamburger run.
Mel Gibson, 50, was third-worst celebrity with 12 percent, surely the result of his anti-Semitic tirade at police in Malibu, Calif., during his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving. He later apologized and said he harbored no animosity toward Jews.
In the best celebrity role model category, 29 percent of adults chose talk-show host Winfrey.
The philanthropist and entertainment mogul contributed $40 million toward the establishment of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, which is scheduled to open next month.
Fox, who has Parkinson's disease, finished second with 23 percent. He recently was criticized by conservatives for political ads that showed his body shaking as he urged support for a ballot measure promoting stem cell research and for the Democratic Senate candidate over the Republican.
Actor George Clooney, who's been advocating for refugees in the war-ravaged Darfur region of Sudan, finished third with 12 percent.
Eight percent chose Angelina Jolie over boyfriend Brad Pitt, 2 percent. Newlyweds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes tied at 2 percent.
Rounding out the worst celebrity role model category were Cruise, 9 percent; former "Seinfeld" star Michael Richards, 6 percent; Nicole Richie, 5 percent; Federline, 4 percent; Lohan, 3 percent; and Jolie, 2 percent.
Jolie and Cruise were the only celebrities to land on both the best and worst lists. But more people named Jolie best celebrity role model, and more people named Cruise worst.
Bush was the choice of 43 percent of Democrats for villain, and 27 percent of Republicans for hero.
The telephone poll of 1,004 adults was conducted Dec. 19-21 by Ipsos, an international polling firm. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Desperation in the White House
BY JOSEPH L. GALLOWAY
The power brokers in Washington spent the week carefully arranging fig leaves and tasteful screens to cover the emperor's nakedness while he was busy pretending to listen hard to everyone with an opinion about Iraq while hearing nothing.
Sometime early in the new year, President Bush will go on national television to tell a disgruntled American public what he has decided should be done to salvage ''victory'' from the jaws of certain defeat in the war he started.
The word on the street, or in the Pentagon rings, is that he'll choose to beef up U.S. forces on the ground in Iraq by 20,000 to 30,000 troops by various sleight-of-hand maneuvers ~ extending the combat tours of soldiers and Marines who are nearing an end to their second or third year in hell and accelerating the shipment of others into that hell ~ and send them into the bloody streets of Baghdad.
These additional troops are expected to restore order and calm the bombers and murderers when 9,000 Americans already in the sprawling capital couldn't. They're expected to do this even when Bush's favorite (for now) Iraqi politician, Prime Minister Nouri Kamel al-Maliki, refuses to allow them to act against his primary benefactor, the anti-American cleric Moqtada al Sadr and his Shiite Muslim Mahdi Army militiamen who kill both Americans and Sunni Arabs.
This hardly amounts to a ''new way forward'' unless that definition includes a new path deeper into the quicksand of a tribal and religious civil war where whatever Bush eventually decides is already inadequate and immaterial.
The military commanders on the ground -- from Gen. John Abizaid, the head of the U.S. Central Command, to his generals in Iraq -- have said flatly that more American troops aren't the answer and aren't wanted. For them, it's obvious that only a political decision -- an Iraqi political decision -- has even the possibility of producing an acceptable outcome.
The White House hopes that its much-trumpeted reshuffling of a failed strategy and flawed tactics will buy time for their bad luck to change miraculously. That this time will be bought and paid for with the lives and futures of our soldiers and Marines -- and their families -- apparently means little to these wise men who've never heard a shot fired in anger.
This president has made it painfully obvious that he has no intention of listening to anyone who doesn't believe that he's going to win in Iraq. He'll march stubbornly onward without any real change of course until high noon on January 20, 2009, when his successor will inherit both the hard decision to pull out of Iraq and the back bills for his reckless, feckless misadventure.
The midterm election that handed control of Congress to the Democrats can be ignored. His own approval rating in the polls, now at an all-time low of 27 percent -- likewise means little or nothing.
Only Bush's definition of reality carries any weight with him and therein lies the tragedy -- both his and ours.
James Baker was sent to Washington by the original George Bush, No. 41, to salvage something out of the mess that his son, Bush No. 43, has made of his presidency and the world. The Baker commission labored mightily and produced, if little else, some truth: That the situation in Iraq is dire and rapidly growing worse.
It's also clear, however, that Bush the son is paying no more than lip service to the Baker report. He doesn't want Dad's help, and the idea that he once again needs to be rescued from the consequences of his mistakes -- as he had to be so often back in Texas -- can only have hardened his resolve to stay the course.
This is akin to a drowning man who pushes away a life preserver just before he sinks for the last time. Can nothing save this man from himself -- from the voices that only he hears telling him that he, like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and Harry Truman, will have his reputation and his place in American history restored and burnished long after his death?
What will happen to that impossible dream in the coming year if the congressional Democrats begin to do their job, issuing subpoenas and holding oversight hearings into the looting of billions from the national treasury by defense contractors and other fat-cat donors to the GOP?
What will happen if everything that President Bush does to string things along in Iraq fails, as has everything else he has done there so far, and the Iraqis ask, order or drive us out of their country?
Did you notice that at every stop on the president's information-gathering tour this week, there was a very familiar face looming over his shoulder?
It can be argued that Bush understood little about war and peace and diplomacy and honesty in government. Vice President Cheney understood all of it, and he bears much of the responsibility for what's gone on in Washington and in Iraq for the last six years. Keep a sharp eye on him. Desperate men do desperate things.

The Five Biggest Lies Bush Told Us About Iraq
"The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity."
President George W. Bush seems to have a deep-seated contempt for the truth. Many Americans may choose to overlook the lies and deceptions the Bush administration uses to justify its policies, but the record is so overwhelming that future historians will wonder how so much duplicity could have been tolerated in a large democratic country such as the United States. Maybe, after all, it's true that "you can fool all of the people all of the time."

Cryptocracy, Atomic War & the Death of Reason

If the first casualty of war is the truth, then reason must be its first prisoner. Leave it to Americans to escalate the battlefield of the mind to an Orwellian level of shock therapy. Glued to our mind screens for the majority of our waking hours, we have become the audience at a global coliseum, cheering for enemy blood and applauding billion-dollar bombs bursting in air. Reason? Logic? Truth? Those were sold to the highest bidder long ago, to pay for the most monstrous killing machines ever created and our raging addiction to chemical energy.
War has never made a great deal of sense, and that's in large part the point. Since one tribe went out to dominate another at the point of a spear, leaders have attempted to override the logical part of the human brain by aggravating our reptilian and ruthless revenge mechanisms. In the age of industrial warfare, we have witnessed the business of killing vast numbers of opponents become a "necessary evil," and an honored form of employment. Americans will even argue that dropping atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki simply "got the job done" in a more efficient manner, and therefore was acceptable "collateral damage." As I said, no reason or logic here, and don't look for truth in the wastelands of war.
Americans entered a terminal realm of doublethink and psychosis when the revolutionary band of corporate cryptocrats seized the White House, our shining center of authority. The Bushista regime has turned every commonly-held value established by previous generations on its head, in a topsy-turvy heap of nonsense and cowboy lingo. Yes, we now argue, war IS peace, slavery and paranoia is freedom, you see, and the truth will never be known because it must remain a state secret.
Our sanity slips away daily as the cluster bombs and fireballs light up our video screens, as any hope of salvaging the American Dream is trampled under the boots of ever more militarized police, under the glare of ever more sinister terror alerts, and behind the firewalls of ever more secretive and corrupted "security" agencies. It's a sophisticated destabilization of our entire society, plotted out decades ago. The way the Bush family, CIA headquarters bearing their name, always seem to leave a trail of burned-out cities, piles of dead bodies, drug scandals, and secret bank accounts behind them, and somehow never get caught-- has worn our suspicions down to a dull stupor.
As influential over our ability to reason and assess the truth are the mighty media corporations, owned by giant conglomerates who also make the weapons and the drugs which the politicians in power are so invested in. Americans are kept in a Twilight Zone limbo of steroid-stoked entertainment and shocking pseudo-reality events, barely able to keep up with the latest terror alert, let alone understand what is happening outside our country. The "fog of war" has become our sociopathic M.O., and the latest approval ratings let us know everything is "going great" because our lemming herd agrees the edge is where we must push.
Without even understanding the cause or the odds, we are prompted to blindly "support our troops," which actually means allowing the military contractors in power to bomb the hell out of another Third World country. We are prodded to display our allegiance to the flag, and declare our patriotic fervor-- again, without reason or logic, simply based on conditioned slogans about freedom and democracy, while those in power are busy ripping the guts out of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Signs that our society has gone over the edge of sanity into the murderous realm of raging monkeys: obsession with obscure symbols, such as French fries (which we named in the first place), outrageous harassment of artists such as the Dixie Chicks and Michael Moore, who are simply stating their opinion, belying the alleged "freedom of speech" our troops are supposedly fighting for, and crowds of "pro-war" demonstrators wrapped in American flags, lashing out at anyone or anything that may stand in the way of “victory.”
The great danger of the lynch-mob terror-bubble we find ourselves trapped in, as the Germans under the Nazi regime were, is losing touch with the rest of the world. At the same time, we are unable to assess that this is no longer our government, but has been stolen from us by country-sized corporations and their henchmen. To the rest of the world, we seem to be reveling in our corruption, celebrating the theft of our constitutional protections, our economic resources, our dignity and reputation, and our security, by a group of second-rate elitists and dictator-wannabees. Meanwhile, innocent people are being slaughtered by high-tech weaponry designed for annihilation, along with mostly defenseless "enemy combatants," in a land far away, in a culture that most of us don't even comprehend.
Is there any hope for America's sanity? Right now, we are lost in a cowering dead-end of lies built on lies and secrecy, dating back to the end of WWII when Nazis were enlisted by Kissinger to start the CIA, financed by George Bush's granddad. Do you believe our irrationality and ignorance is a result of poor planning and excess? No-- the reality is that we're held hostage in a "fog of war" and terror by design, and the rest of the world has now become the war zone. Is it all like a spectacular video game? Yes, we’ve been conditioned to accept blasting away other humans like insects, from a distance. Now we must question-- who designed this game and who is promoting the even more costly future version?
“Americanism” may in the future be described as a pathological syndrome, much as we now attempt to unravel the ideology and cruelty of Nazism. The two are not unconnected. A few hard truths for Americans to work their teeth on: We are a relatively recent colonial expansion of European empire, molded on a Roman model of expansion. We are only 5% of the world's population, 75% white, controlling over 50% of the resources of the rest of the world. There are 1.2 billion Islamic people in the world, 5 times the number of Americans. The vast majority of those people live in sub-poverty conditions, ruled over by wealthy dictators armed by the United States (as Saddam and the Taliban were).
One final little fact which festers at the root of all of this Strangelovian insanity and psychosis: if only 1% of the nuclear arsenals on our planet are deployed in a "limited" nuclear exchange, we will be living in a mutant nuclear winter and most of the species on Earth will go extinct, including ourselves quite possibly. The Bush regime has made nuclear weapons a very real first-strike option, tossing aside all treaties signed over our lifetimes. But you won't hear about that on the 6 o'clock news, unless you happen to have a TV system in your fallout shelter. By then ratings won’t matter so much…

Rectangular Fridge Magnet.
Jesus was a man of peace, not of wars launched by leaders with arrested development who need to prove their manhood by sending other people off to death. This magnet sends that message. You don't have to be a Christian to appreciate the political irony of using the Prince of Peace as a justification to ratchet up the bloodshed.
It's the guys with the plastic Jesuses on their dashboards and the gun racks in their pick-ups who back a party of war losers who seem to wallow in a morass of bloodshed that knows no end. Most religions seek to heal the world, not to tear it
apart. Most religions promote life over death.
In the Western world, no figure has been more abused in the name of warfare than Jesus. If he were alive today, we hope that he would sue George W. Bush for
libel. Display this magnet proudly. Reclaim America -- and if you
are a Christian, reclaim the Prince of Peace.
Remember that Christianity was used by slaveowners to justify slavery. The
Bible can be abused in endless ways, as we see the Bushes, Falwell, Robertsons,
and Dobsons doing today. They've hijacked Jesus.

As America's Economy is Fleeced & Siphoned
Perception Recovery Collective
Bombshelter Broadcast Complex
Stepping outside of the pale and pacified "New Patriot" police-state of the New World Order (aka "America")-- once you make it through the razor wire-- it is quite clear that what is going on is a gargantuan, Machiavellian MUGGING. The most bold robbery ever to be pulled off in human history-- in the grand and ruthless style of the Roman Empire-- to secure not just the last black-gold fields on Earth, but the future credit, the lifeblood, the "freedom" and the " truth" we humans have taken for granted.
The United Corporations of America have been maneuvering for the past century toward this ideal "Free Market" world of total access, secured by the most powerful (and expensive!) fleets of killing machines ever assembled-- making sure all the creamy, toxic profits flow into their banks. The conglomerating corporate powers have absorbed all in their reach-- the media, the food, the energy, the entertainment, the real estate, and of course their large arsenal of drugs, which we pay through the noses of our children for.
Another way to look at this postmodern corporate-state is as a "Syndicate"... a very lucrative and cutthroat assembly of co-conspirators willing to extort, bribe, hustle, lie, cheat, sue, raid, and pillage anyone or anything which may give them more "leverage." The operation of the entire "Reagan Revolution" from the beginning has been classic "protection"-- the oldest racket next to pimping-- and any cursory examination of the Bush family (and their corporate-CIA buddies) reveals scandal upon scandal, somehow magically coated with Teflon. (For detailed overview see General Bowen's book "The Immaculate Deception: The Bush Crime Family Exposed.")
From the criminal manipulation of the election in Florida by the Bush brothers and their cohorts, to the brutal attack on New York City and the subsequent cover-up, to their diversion toward Afghanistan as they deployed the "Patriot Act" and "Homeland Security" police-state, to the outright illegal invasion of Iraq in order to murder its leaders and rob the entire region of oil, this Bush Regime has looked more like an organized criminal inasion than any kind of legitimate political movement.
Sadly, the only reason these neo-fascist criminals have gotten this far is through the corporate monopolization and manipulation of the American media. I mean, does anyone out there really take their "approval ratings" seriously anymore? How obviously slanted and innappropriate--everyone else is jumping of a cliff, why don't you? The media keep trying to convince us that "America" is a huge WonderBread melting pot when in reality the colonial empire is sprawled out over a vast expanse of the planet, as diverse as diverse can be-- that is the beauty and treasure of the American Dream. The New Patriot-Republican agenda is to jam their militarized cowboy-KKK mindset into all of our holes so we can no longer argue or discourse, or even think straight. The perfect "protection racket."
When these highly secretive and paranoid people in power, with their fingers on their nuclear buttons, decree that we will soon have the largest deficits in history, what they are really trying to get us to swallow is the sickening load of their military budget-- in mob terms, they will twist our arms and our children's arms to pay them to build bigger weapons to keep us all in line. These Bush executives, if you peel back their Skull and Bones badges, are heavily invested in the three most profitable (and corrupted) industries in the world: pharmaceuticals, weapons, and oil.
The oil racket is so obvious it should need little explanation. Iraq has the last great reservoir on the planet-- and who is inventorying what is being drained right now by CEO/VP Cheney's Brown&Root? The U.S. military, oh wait-- they work for Cheney too! Don't want to confuse anything in the accounting by having U.N. people snooping around! Keep those nosy inspectors at bay! The Bushites knew where all the weapons were anyhow-- our CIA sold them to Saddam (remember-Rumsfeld arranged it)!
Pharmaceuticals are a bit more complex of a racket-- much like drug dealing everywhere. "Create a demand, supply the need." Did you know that while Bush Sr.'s CIA was channeling vast quantities of cocaine into the urban areas of the U.S., the Bush family also was profiting from their interest in Eli Lilly's cocaine treatment drugs? Any coincidence that now that Afghanistan is "liberated" the opium triangle is back in business like never before? Gee, I wonder where all that fresh heroin will end up? Follow the cancer trail, the AIDS deployment, the SARS epidemic-- a brutal "protection racket" verging on the demonic.
Now, Eisenhower tried to warn us all about the "unwarranted influence of the military-industrial complex" but did we listen? We are now in the midst of a worst-case scenario of military corporate influence out of control, resulting in the "Bring It On" mafioso machismo of an idiot. This Bush mob and their minions are ruthlessly willing to throw our sons and daughters to the wolves, to rake in greater profits and power, all the while surrounding our neighborhoods with barbed wire and microwave towers. The empire is turning on us, as empires tend to do when they get top-heavy. The scum has risen to the top of the melting pot, and now these corporate criminals are attempting to steal even our minds with their murderous programming and "approval" scams.
From a wild-eyed child in the back row comes a revolutionary suggestion:
Why don't we pass legislation to prevent corporate executives from holding offices of military power-- especially those in the energy and weapons industries? That would disqualify just about everyone in Bush's cabinet-- including the lovely Condy Rice (no worries, she'll still have that Texaco tanker named after her)! In fact, the only man left standing on the Republican side would be Colin Powell. And we don't get the feeling lately he approves of playing Tom to Bubba Bush's Klique anyway. He would probably be as relieved as Dwight Eisenhower to see Bush, Cheney and all the other murderous mobsters behind bars where they belong, and our troops coming home.
What it has boiled down to, boys and girls, in this new-millenium "Planetary Survival" challenge is the United Corporations of America and their massive military versus the United Nations ideals and processes. Test this on your neighbors: which side do you stand on: the unilateralist "Terminator" Bush or the United Nations peacekeeping process? At this point, either way we'll likely be paying for Bush's blood-soaked "embezzlement" for a very long time...if we make it through the killing fields.
